A group of 28 South Korean officials and experts left for North Korea this morning... for another round of on-site railway surveys.
They'll be working with their North Korean counterparts for the next 10 days, checking almost 800 kilometers of railway along the eastern Donghae Line.
This comes after the group finished their first round of inspections on the western Gyeongui rail line earlier this week.
This is the first time South Korean inspectors will check North Korea's eastern rails; they have checked the western rails once previously in 2007.
The inspections are part of efforts to ultimately connect and modernize the railways and roads linking the two Koreas.
