It should be an exciting time for Brian Hubbs, who served as a Marine for five years, and his wife Stella. Brian just started a new job and they are expecting their second child very soon. However, in November of this year, Brian was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer. Since the health insurance from his new job won't start until well into his treatment, Brian's family set up a GoFundMe to help him and his family cover some of the treatment costs. They also checked into getting benefits from the Veterans Administration (VA), but since that might take time to set up and Brian needed to start treatment right away, the Hubbs family decided to proceed with private insurance to cover the medical expenses right now.
