कोच रमेश पोवार के कार्यकाल के विवादास्पद अंत के बाद सोमवार को भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम भी बंटी हुई नजर आई। जब टी20 कप्तान हरमनप्रीत कौर और उप कप्तान स्मृति मंधाना ने सीनियर खिलाड़ी मिताली राज के साथ मतभेद के बावजूद कोच रमेश पोवार की वापसी की मांग की। प्रशासकों की समिति के अध्यक्ष विनोद राय ने बताया कि हरमनप्रीत और स्मृति ने पोवार को 2021 तक कोच बनाए रखने का समर्थन किया है। पोवार का अंतरिम कार्यकाल 30 नवंबर को समाप्त हुआ और बीसीसीआई पहले ही इस पद के लिए नए आवेदन मांग चुका है। पोवार दोबारा आवेदन करने के लिए स्वतंत्र हैं। राय ने कहा, 'हां, उन्होंने पत्र लिखा है कि वे चाहते हैं कि रमेश पोवार अपने पद पर बने रहें।
