According to Politico, congressional Republicans are giving up on cutting federal funding for Planned Parenthood as Democrats prepare to take control of the House in January. Some members, likes Texas senator Ted Cruz, tried to mount support for one last bid to push through with cuts, Obamacare repeal and other conservative priorities this week.
