According to Geek.com, Starbucks is cracking down on customers viewing explicit material over its free Wi-Fi network.
Other popular chains like McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A have rolled out in-store content filters, but Starbucks had never taken steps to restrict how their customers utilize their Wi-Fi network until now.
The company recently said in a statement, “We have identified a solution to prevent this content from being viewed within our stores and we will begin introducing it to our U.S. locations in 2019.”
