LONDON — The Tulip observation tower is the newest architectural proposal for the city of London.

The sci-fi-esque building was designed by British international architecture studio 'Foster + Partners' who have previously designed the London City Hall and the famous Gherkin. If approved, construction could begin as soon as 2020 and conclude in 2025.

The tower would act as a cultural attraction and become the city's tallest skyscraper soaring 305 meters above ground. According to a press release from the architecture firm, it will be equipped with education facilities, gondola pods, sky bridges and a sky bar and restaurants with a 360-degree view of the city.

The skyscraper would be made of concrete, steel, aluminum framing and high performance glass.

The architecture company seem to be into sustainability, making room for 284 cycle parking spaces which is what they claim to be the equivalent to taking 28 cars off the street.
