President Moon ordered the government to prepare measures that would improve financial support for the lower-income bracket.
According to the top office, the measures include reducing credit card fees and increasing VAT deductions, in order to help small businesses.
The South Korean leader ordered a crackdown on illegal private financial institutions.
He also called for active financial support for the manufacturing sector, including the shipbuilding and auto industries, and brought up the need for a quote, "comprehensive mortgage system" that could utilize both the tangible and intangible assets of a business,... such as intellectual property rights and sales credit.
The president's remarks came after he was briefed this morning by Financial Services Commissioner Choi Jong-ku on South Korea's current financial situation.
