South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin has reportedly decided to stay with the LA Dodgers for another year... instead of testing the free agent market.
According to an industry source,… Ryu, who has spent six seasons in LA, became the only player to accept the qualifying offer from the team this year.
If a player takes the qualifying offer from the team, they will return on a one-year contract with the mean salary of the league's 1-hundred-25 highest-paid players,… of around 18 million U.S. dollars.
Ryu becomes the sixth MLB player who has taken an extended qualifying offer since the system was introduced in 2012.
