The European Union has revised its list of vessels under sanctions for their links to North Korea.
The EU's gazette, the Official Journal of the European Union,... shows 15 vessels were newly added to the list of ships subject to asset freezes.
33 have been barred from European ports, and 12 vessels have been stripped of their ship registration, the process through which a ship is assigned its nationality.
Some of these vessels are thought to have been engaged in illegal activities to bypass regulations restricting the import of crude oil into North Korea.
