South Korea's presidential office says it expects high-level talks between North Korea and the U.S. on Thursday in New York to take on not only denuclearization but also establishing formal diplomatic relations.
A spokesperson for South Korea's top office noted that the State Department mentioned Mike Pompeo and Kim Yong-chol would be discussing the "four pillars" of the joint statement adopted in Singapore.
Two are establishing lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula... and diplomatic relations between Pyeongyang and Washington.
