Section 144 has been imposed at Nilakkal base camp, ahead of Sabarimala Temple reopening on 5-6 November. Around 2,000 police personnel have been deployed in the area. The temple reopens amid standoff between the state government and Hindu outfits. The SC had allowed women of all ages to enter the temple in its verdict in September.
