Business Insider reports that Brits all over the UK are getting ready for the annual Guy Fawkes Day celebrations.
The festivities commemorate the night of November 5, 1605, when Guy Fawkes attempted to assassinate the king.
Once night falls, families, friends, and communities come together to celebrate the failed assassination attempt.
Every celebration centers on a large bonfire featuring an effigy which is known as the Guy (after Guy Fawkes).
