Sniper attacks are on the rise in Kashmir. NewsX has exclusively learnt that the Jaish-E-Mohammed in particular is resorting to sniper attacks as their number of recruits dwindles in the valley. The motive is to attack forces from a safe distance and cut down in their own casualties. Corroborating these findings, a few days ago, a sniper rifle was recovered from the possession of two terrorists in an encounter with forces in Kashmir's Tral. In the same encounter, Jaish Chief Masood Azhar's nephew was killed. Today an encounter broke out in Budgam district in which 2 terrorists were gunned down by security forces. Later clashes broke out with stone pelters not even sparing media crew.
