other existing NBC talent. Kelly is currently negotiating her
exit deal after sparking controversy
over her "blackface" comment. She is asking for $50 million
to settle up, according to TMZ. Monday's show was anchored
by Roker and Hoda Kotb, who said
today begins "a new chapter." It is unclear if Kotb will move
forward as part of the new 9 a.m. team, since she's already on air from
7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again at 10 a.m.
