Judy Greer stopped by NowThis to discuss her new comedy “A Happening of Monumental Proportions” and what it's like being one of the few women directors out of the women in Hollywood. Greer has been acting in Hollywood forever in movies such as “13 Going on 30,” where she worked with Jennifer Garner. Greer and Garner, who recently starred in the “Peppermint” movie, teamed up again for “A Happening of Monumental Proportions,” along with Keanu Reeves of “The Matrix,” Katie Holmes, and Allison Janney who most recently won an Oscar for her performance in “I, Tonya.”
Greer made her directing debut with “A Happening of Monumental Proportions.” In the interview, she touches on #MeToo and what it's like to be women directors as women in Hollywood. The #MeToo movement is slowly starting to change how women in Hollywood are perceived and giving women directors like Greer more opportunities, but she says there's still a long way to go.
Her directing chops really shine through in “A Happening of Monumental Proportions” and make us wonder why she took so long to get behind the camera. Her A-list cast of comedians and talented actors like John Wick, Reeves, Holmes, Garner, and Janney is something a new Hollywood director could only dream of. Make sure you watch the movie’s trailer and our interview, then check out the hilarious movie which will hit Netflix soon.
