President Trump on Tuesday tweeted about the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
President Trump on Tuesday tweeted that Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman gave his word that he had no knowledge about what happened in the Saudi consulate in Turkey on the day journalist Jamal Khashoggi disappeared. Trump wrote: "Just spoke with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia who totally denied any knowledge of what took place in their Turkish Consulate. He was with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during the call, and told me that he has already started, and will rapidly expand, a full and complete investigation into this matter. Answers will be forthcoming shortly." Khashoggi entered the consulate on October 2 and has not since been seen. Turkish officials conducted a search of the building and one of them told CNN on Tuesday that the journalist was killed while inside. Trump has suggested that "rogue killers" may have been responsible.
