Strong winds blowing directly across the runway at Bristol Airport in southwest England yesterday (October 12) caused this TUI Airways Boeing 757-200 aircraft to come in to land sideways.
Storm Callum has brought travel chaos to large parts of the UK as winds and heavy rainfall hit the country.
"Aircraft need to compensate for the crosswind otherwise they will be blown off course," explains filmer Mraviationguy, a UK based YouTuber who who films aviation videos.
"They do this by pointing their nose into the direction the wind is coming from, demonstrated perfectly by this crew. It is always fascinating to watch planes landing in strong crosswinds and it is fantastic to see such amazing skill by the pilots."
