Maa Chandraghanta is the third avtar of Maa Devi Durga, who is worshipped on the 3rd of Navratri. Since she has a Chandra or half moon, in the shape of a Ghanta (bell), on her forehead, she is addressed as Chandraghanta. She is a symbol of peace, serenity and prosperity. It is beleived that she establishes justice and gives courage and strength to her devotees so that they can fight challenges.
