Allahabad University student body elections took an ugly turn after the hostel room of the winning candidate from Samajwadi Party (SP) was allegedly torched by an opposition candidate. Miscreants had also torched few other hostel rooms leading to an increased fire situation. Police and fire department reached the spot to tackle the situation.
