Rare animals Borneo Orangutans give birth to babies in Indonesia
10-year-old female Borneo orangutan named Barito gave birth to a male baby named Bintan in Lagoi Safari Park, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province, Indonesia.
Barito gave birth to a male baby orangutan naturally without the help of a doctor at 3:00 PM, October 1, 2018 weighing 2 kilograms.
Bintan Parent named Barito (female) aged 10 years and named Kapuas (male) aged 15 years are Borneo orangutans.
Before being in Lagoi Safari Park, both parents lived in Thailand. Then, both were brought back to Indonesia and placed in Lagoi Safari Park since 2016.
The number of orangutans in Lagoi Safari Park is currently five orangutans.

"The birth of Bintan shows that Conservation Institutions in Indonesia have succeeded in conducting orangutan breeding efforts that have been returned from abroad (Repatriation). Currently the orangutan population in Lagoi Safari Park is home to 5 orangutans, three Borneo orangutans and two Sumatran orangutans."
In Lagoi Safari Park there are also other types of animals, including parrots, totol deer, pangolin, Sumatran elephants and komodo dragons.
