North Korea is apparently in favor of holding parliamentary talks with South Korea.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Moon Hee-sang..., proposed the event in a letter to Choe Tae-bok -- the chairman of the North's Supreme People's Assembly.
That letter was delivered last week during the inter-Korean summit.
On Thursday Choe wrote back, saying Pyeongyang agrees in principle to opening a dialogue... and that both legislatures have important roles in the implementation of the two Koreas' agreements.
He added the talks can be arranged after high-level South and North Korean officials meet to schedule talks in several fields in accordance with the recent Pyeongyang Declaration.
