Donald Trump Jr. on Thursday mocked what he called Christine Blasey Ford’s “selective” fear of flying.

Donald Trump Jr. recently mocked what he called California professor Christine Blasey Ford's "selective" fear of flying.
"I'm no psychology professor but it does seem weird to me that someone could have a selective fear of flying," Trump Jr. said in a tweet on Thursday. "Can't do it to testify but for vacation, well it's not a problem at all."
Ford, who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, had reportedly told Senators that she was unable to testify on Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C. due to that fear.
During the Thursday hearing, Ford was asked about flights she'd taken over the years. Ford confirmed that she'd flown to the Thursday hearing and a number of vacation destinations.
Earlier in the week, Fox News' Tucker Carlson made note of the matter and asked: "Could it be possible that Ford's claiming she can't fly in order to delay the proceedings long enough that Brett Kavanaugh can't be confirmed?"
Ford said on Thursday that when she mentioned her flying fear to the committee, she was hoping to be interviewed close to home but said she later "realized that was an unrealistic request."
