The Australian Reptile Park announced the arrival of a new baby wombat, Grace.
This video, released on September 27, shows the tiny baby chasing after and cuddling her keeper before sucking on a bottle of milk.
Zookeeper Tim Faulkner said Grace had developed a “cheeky personality” and had “quickly won over” everyone at the reptile park.
“She’ll follow you everywhere you go, loves cuddles and belly scratches!” he said.
A zoo spokesman said Grace was found in the pouch of her dead mother and saved by a passer-by. She will remain under the care of the park for about 12 months, after which park staff will determine whether she is strong enough to be released to the wild, he said.
