According to Business Insider, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has discovered a previously unknown coral reef off the US East Coast that stretches to about 85 miles. A recent expedition dubbed Deep Search 2018 discovered the deep-sea reef off the coast of the southeastern US. Erik Cordes, the chief scientist on the expedition, says, "The information we have gathered will help us to understand these habitats and their dynamics.
