According to Reuters, European Council President Donald Tusk said a Brexit compromise is still possible.
Tusk made his remarks after British Prime Minister Theresa May said negotiations had reached an impasse, and called on the European Union to come up with its own proposal.
Prime Minister May offered her comments a day after EU leaders criticized the UK's latest exit proposal.
