Matt Larmand recorded this gruesome drone footage showing a pod of Orca whales attacking a single bottlenose dolphin.

It’s not uncommon for orca whales to hunt dolphins for food, but it’s a shocking spectacle nonetheless. Matt captured the video while working on a whale watching trip organised by Dana Wharf Whale Watching.

While just three whales can be seen in any single frame of the video, Dana Wharf owner Donna Kalez told Storyful that they form part of a pod of eight whales that have been spotted killing dolphins in the area. Credit: Danawharf.com via Storyful
