G Perico takes pride in his city of Los Angeles, so it’s important to him that his hometown’s story is depicted to the T. “Whatever is going on, whatever is popular in the world at the time, we’re still L.A.,” he told The FADER during a recent visit. The rising South Central rapper came by to tell us the story behind his So Way Out independent label and storefront of the same name. He also told the story of how A$AP Yams became an early supporter of his music, and that one time he really did dedicate a slow jam on the radio. Watch the interview above.
