Former NSA Adviser Michael Flynn to be Sentenced in November The former national security adviser to President Trump will be sentenced for lying to federal prosecutors after the 2018 midterms. Sentencing for Flynn had been delayed four times since he pleaded guilty to lying to investigators last December. Flynn has admitted to lying about his communications with the
Russian ambassador during
Trump's presidential transition. He's also confessed to lying to the
Justice Department last year about doing consulting work for the Republic of Turkey. The change suggests that Flynn's cooperation with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation will end soon. Until Paul Manafort, Flynn was the
highest-ranking Trump associate cooperating with Mueller's probe.
