According to BUsiness Insider, Hurricane Florence is sweeping the Carolinas, with some models anticipating more than 50 inches of rain and 80 mph winds in certain areas. The National Hurricane Center's predictions of both "catastrophic" flooding and "life-threatening" storm surges has kicked emergency relief efforts into high gear.
Although its wind speed has weakened, the hurricane has increased in size, resulting in greater risk for a greater number of people.
