Rachael Denhollander was the first to accuse USA Gymnastics team doctor, Larry Nassar. According to Huffington Post, since then she has become a prominent advocate for abuse survivors. With more cases of church abuse coming into light, Denhollander has spoken out about it. Denhollander said: “Unfortunately, faith communities can be breeding grounds for abusers.” She said they create an environment “that keeps victims silent and keeps abusers in power.”
