"Black-ish" creator Kenya Barris reportedly left ABC in August for a $100 million deal with Netflix.

But Barris' departure was reportedly also due to the network shelving an episode. That episode, deemed too critical of President Trump.

Business Insider says the episode in question was shelved days before its planned premiere on February 27.

Barris said that ABC had him rework and cut some of the episode's "anti-Trump material". But the result wasn't fit to air.
