This year's Seoul Defense Dialogue,... an annual forum hosted by the nation's defense ministry,... kicked off this morning at the Westin Chosun Seoul.
Some six hundred defense officials and experts from 52 countries and three international organizations have registered for the three-day event.
The opening ceremony will be held Thursday morning,... with speeches by the Director of National Security Chung Eui-yong ,... and Minister of National Defense Song Young-moo .
Along with a series of bilateral and multilateral talks between vice-ministerial level officials,.... there will be sessions on a range of issues,... including denuclearization of the Korean peninsula,.... defense cooperation for international peacekeeping activities,... and maritime security cooperation.
