Carrie Underwood to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame On Sept. 20, Underwood will receive the 2,646th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony will be held in front of Capitol Records in L.A. Underwood's former American Idol judge Simon Cowell is set to be a guest speaker at the event. Country singer Brad Paisley will also be a guest speaker. Cowell recently received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Aug. 22. In less than a week before Underwood's ceremony, she will be releasing her 'Cry Pretty' album on Sept. 14. Underwood has won seven Grammys, including Best New Artist.
