Republican Senator Lindsey Graham reportedly suggested that North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un be assassinated, notes the Daily Beast. Famed journalist Bob Woodward writes in his just-released book, 'Fear: Trump in the White House,' that Graham made the proposal during a national security meeting, days after President Trump referred to Kim as "Little Rocket Man." Graham is said to have recommended that China carry out the assassination then replace Kim with a "North Korean general they control."
Trump clearly didn't act on that advice and opted for diplomacy instead. He held a meeting Kim in Singapore in June and, according to the White House, is planning another. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Monday that the follow-up summit was requested by Kim and commented that it is something "we are open to and are already in the process of coordinating."
