President Moon Jae-in is calling for bipartisan support from lawmakers on the government's drive to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula,... saying the swift ratification of the Panmunjom Declaration would give extra momentum.
Members of the Cabinet and President Moon reviewed the bill on ratifying the deal this morning -- before sending it to the National Assembly for approval.
The government's goal is to have it ratified BEFORE next week's inter-Korean summit.
The cost of implementing the declaration is also expected to be sent to lawmakers.
