President Moon Jae-in is to review the bill on ratifying the Panmunjom Declaration during today's Cabinet meeting -- before sending it to the National Assembly for approval.
The goal is to have the bill ratified BEFORE next week's inter-Korean summit to give extra momentum to the ongoing denuclearization drive.
The bill and the cost of implementing the declaration is expected to be sent to lawmakers once the Cabinet meeting is over.
Rival parties,... however, previously agreed to put the Panmunjom Declaration up for a vote AFTER next week's summit -- reasoning that the ratification can wait until further progress is made on the regime's denuclearization.
