Bodycam footage shared by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office in Florida shows the moment of its dogs took down a suspect in a vehicle theft on September 4, according to police.
The sheriff’s office said Deputy Nick Carmack, who was wearing the bodycam, attempted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle when the driver fled in the vehicle and turned into a driveway. The driver and a passenger then fled the vehicle foot, at which point Deputy Carmack deployed K9 Shep to apprehend on of the suspects, police said.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect seen in the video was “medically cleared and arrested,” and said the second suspect was later apprehended by another police office and dog. Both suspects were charged with vehicle theft, evading arrest, and child neglect “as there was an infant child in the vehicle during the pursuit and who was left in the car when the suspects fled.” Credit: Pasco County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
