Instagram Developing Standalone Shopping App The new shopping platform will potentially be called IG Shopping. The shopping app will let users search and purchase items from whoever they follow on Instagram. Experts believe it may even still be in early development, according to Engadget. Instagram has already given users some shopping capabilities. Earlier this year it released shopping tools to eight countries. They allowed merchants to display product prices on their posts. In June, they even let some brands sell products via Stories. There is no official release date for
the service.
