Nike has chosen Colin Kaepernick, the first NFL player to kneel during the US national anthem, to be the face of its new advertising campaign. But some social media users who disagree with Kaepernick's stance against police brutality and social injustice were upset with the ad campaign and decided to burn or cut their Nike products in protest.
