Here's our run down of the top 3 ice climbs and alpine routes from 2014. In third place is Robert Jasper's new route 'Black Death' at Kandersteg in Switzerland. The poor protection and rock quality on the line lead Robert to offer a psychological grade of E5, the second highest rating on his personal scale. Taking second place is easily the fastest contender in the category, Dani Arnold, who soloed the 8 pitches of 'Crack Baby' (WI6) in just 27 minutes and 13 seconds. Easily taking the top spot however are Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold who mounted one of the only fruitful missions to Patagonia this year. The pair succeeded in making the first traverse of the Fitzroy Massif, a journey that took in over 5km of granite spires. Top 3 Ice Climbs And Alpine Routes Of 2014 | EpicTV Climbing Daily, Ep. 410
