Washington's new special envoy for North Korea will soon visit America's allies in Northeast Asia.
Local news outlet YTN reports that Stephen (bee-gun) Biegun, will soon embark on his trip, which includes stops in Seoul and Tokyo.
His South Korean counterpart is the special representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs in the foreign affairs ministry, Lee Do-hoon.
CNBC says Biegun is an unconventional politician who lacks much foreign policy experience, but added he may have the precise quality needed during the these negotiations, the ability to have the ear of President Trump.
