Top military figures in Myanmar should be tried in international court.
That's according to a UN report that found senior officials responsible.... for mass genocide and sex crimes against the Rohingya... carried out by troops under their command.
Last year, Myanmar's military launched a crackdown on the ethnic minority after militants known as the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army attacked police posts.
The government claims the operations targeted militant threats,... but the fact-finding report lists the military's tactics as "grossly disproportionate."
The UN noted the country's de facto leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, failed to intervene to stop the violence.
