Hima Das spoke after winning at the Asian games, “I don’t think of the medal, just to improve my timing. Even here, the timing was good and a national record was made so I am happy. Feels good to break your own record and I hope that the record stays for long. I get nervous but I don’t think, I only run. There is pressure after the world championships, if I would be able to perform or not. But I had already told my coach that I wanted to better my timing. That does not happen while running, just before running I get nervous. I dedicate this medal to India and especially to the people of Assam.”
