Rahul Dev speaks about starting a career in films instead of modeling. He says, "It was totally coincident, I was doing modeling in Delhi so I got a call from Mukul Anand films at that time they were casting a character for film 'Dus' so I thought it was for ad commercial because they make lots of advertisements. Mukul Anand came over the phone and told me about the character and he said that it was the perfect character for me and catch the next flight and come to Bombay so I went Bombay next day and met him he narrated the character to me and I liked it.

Dus was a regular commercial film but Mukul S. Anand passed away during the direction. The producer tried to continue with another director, but the movie was Anand's project, and thus was never completed."
