North Korea to release detained Japanese tourist

North Korea is releasing a Japanese national on humanitarian grounds,... after he was detained earlier this month for allegedly breaking the country's law.
The state-run Korean Central News Agency said on Sunday that Tomoyuki (Sue-gee-moto) Sugimoto was visiting North Korea as a tourist when he was arrested,... but did not elaborate on the charges against him.
(Sue-gee-moto)Sugimoto, a video journalist in his 30s,... was apparently part of a North Korea tour organized by a non-Japanese company when he was detained.
The Japanese government had been requesting the tourist's release through channels such as the North Korean Embassy in Beijing.
