According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, residents in Hawaii braced for Hurricane Lane as it zeroes in on the US islands with high winds and lashing rains. The US Central Pacific Hurricane Center reports that Hurricane Lane remains a Category 4 storm, the second-strongest on the five-step scale of wind intensity. The center said in an advisory, "The center of Lane will track dangerously close to the islands Thursday through Saturday.
