The operator of a digger in Canda filmed this strange clip which shows the earth wobbling beneath his vehicle.

In the video, which was filmed in Kitimat, British Columbia on August 20, the construction worker appears to tempt fate as he prods the unstable surface with the bucket of the digger.

It hasn't been confirmed what caused the wobbly effect, it could be an example of "soil liquefication" which can make the ground produce wavelike movements.
