The number of imported cars registered here in Korea has exceeded two million for the first time.
According to the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association,.... just over two-million-four-thousand imported vehicles were registered in Korea as of the end of July.
This accounts for 10-point-9 percent,.... or one out of every nine registered cars in Korea.
BMW, which began a massive recall in the country this week due to engine fire problems.... ranked first.... and Mercedes-Benz placed second for the number of imported cars.
Among domestic car brands,... Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors ranked first and second respectively.
