Good morning, tropical nights have come back to Seoul, the lowest nighttime temperatures were at 25.7 degrees Celsius here in the capital, and it's very likely the afternoon will be hot and humid...

due to 19th typhoon of the season Soulik. The tropical storm is gaining strength as it advances north. Soulik is expected to hit the Korean Peninsula late on Wednesday after skirting around Japan's southern mainland island of Kyushu. Expect to see strong winds and heavy showers...and this typhoon could be the first time in 6 years to have an impact on the Korean Peninsula so keep an eye on the typhoon's path.

On its way up to Korea, heat and humid will dominate the nation with heat wave alerts expanding to more regions, including here in Seoul.

As for morning lows, unlike the capital Seoul, most parts had bearable nighttime temperatures... Daejeon, Busan and Gwangju kicking off at 23 degrees.

Daily highs in Seoul, Gyeongju, Daegu will be hot at 34 degrees, Gwangju and Daejeon will get up to 35 degrees.
