McDonald's Is Planning a $6 Billion Makeover On Tuesday, McDonald's announced a $6 billion plan to renovate the majority of its 14,000 U.S. locations. It is the fast food company's biggest renovation in decades. The update includes new furniture, table service-friendly counters and "refreshed" exteriors. Overall sales are up under the direction of Chief Executive Steve Easterbrook, who introduced all-day breakfast in 2015.
